Good Wood ‘Skateboard Art Exhibition’

All for a good cause, Good Wood brings to our attention an interesting way to raise funds. Getting the help of more than 80 professional and non-professional artists, the collection of skate decks are up for online bidding so the public decides what is art and what isn’t.

The decks range from colorful graphics, plain one phrase, 3D additions, debossed lazer cut and even a parody of Damien Hirst’ dotted paintings, some of the well-known artists include Neckface. All proceeds go to the construction of a skateable sculpture park by Power House Productions.

Although only those Detroit are able to bid, it’s a treat seeing the differently designed skate decks and also check out prints and illustrations part of the bidding as well by Haroshi, Jeremy Fish, etc.
