Kobe Bryant is getting old. We know it. Los Angeles Lakers fans know it. Hell, even Kobe Bryant himself knows it! He’s not as fast as he used to be. He can’t jump as high as he used to. And, he can’t will the Lakers to victory as often as he used to. But, has he really gotten this old? So old that people are writing songs and making music videos about it?
Less than a week after the Lakers got knocked out of the 2012 NBA Playoffs, a man who goes by the name “Kobye” jacked the production from the Billboard-topping Goyte song “Somebody I Used To Know” to create this—a parody song called “The Kobe That We Used To Know” that pokes fun at the fact that Kobe isn’t as good as he used to be. While wearing a Pau Gasol jersey, “Kobye” wonders why Kobe doesn’t pass the ball more, implores him to give it up to Gasol and Andrew Bynum once in awhile, and…well, you’ll just have to take a listen for yourself to hear the other jabs he throws. But, whether you love Kobe or not, we’re pretty sure you’re going to laugh your ass off when you hear what “Kobye” has done to the Goyte song.
