Actually, there’s a case to get rid of both of them. Andrew Bynum, despite stellar play (for the most part) this season continues to be a distraction on and off the court, and Pau Gasol wants to be everywhere on the court except where he’s needed – the low post. These guys provide size to the Lakers lineup and they can’t utilize it if they’re out on the perimeter taking jump shots. It’s likely that only one of them will end up leaving, however. Either Bynum goes to Orlando for Dwight Howard, or the Lakers should trade Gasol (and maybe Ramon Sessions) for Josh Smith and Jeff Teague of the Atlanta Hawks.
