- Dover Street Market New York Store Announced
Rei Kawakubo’s multi-brand based store, Dover Street Market has seen great success since its inception in London. It’s now reported that her iconic Comme des Garcons brand will have an official flagship location situated right here in New York City.
The details consist of a lease for a new 20,000-square-foot, seven-story emporium at 160 Lexington Avenue at 30th Street, in a district chockablock with nail parlors and Indian restaurants. A somewhat strategic location as it’s not so trendy compared to the likes of Soho.
With a brand of this status, it only seemed right that a physical store will finally open in New York City. The store is due to open in December 2013.
